Well, I'll be off to what used to be a very closed country, in less than a weeks' time. Hence the lack of posts in the last month. I expect that the photos I will be taking there will be very different from my gallery's works so far. Still, travelling around China for the next 3 months promises to be interesting, albeit a lil scary. I wonder how much time I'll actually have to venture outdoors there... On another note, I will *finally* be upgrading to dSLR. My first leap from compact to SLR (bypassing the hybrids). Any advice would be appreciated. Just got back last night, from yet another fantastic weekend. It was nice and snowy up at the Peaks; I've never seen so much snow.. how sad is that. It wasn't very thick, though. Unfortunately, since climbing always trumps walking in my order of preferences, I couldn't get very many photos. Got some of the snow covered rocks we were climbing, but that was it. I was taught how to do some basic outdoor leading (and I do mean, basic!) - gear placements, setting up belay anchors at the top of a climb, how to equalise the anchors etc. considering that I only know how to do two knots very well (figure 8 and clove hitch - the latter, I'd actually pr

It's SNOWING (very lightly), I'm stuck in uni and I don't have my camera on me! Arrrrrggghhhh!!!!! Rarely snows here too... doh! Yesterday, I learnt that Michelle= 美雪 in Chinese, which means pretty snow. Told my classmate today, and she was pleased. Snow is prettttyyyyyy... :)
